JUNE 2021 – The answer is a resounding yes. JV and partnership deal volumes in Q2-2021 surged to record levels as companies emerge from the pandemic with a renewed focus on profits, growth, social responsibility, and sustainability. Deal activity was strong in key regions including North America and Asia. New venture volumes were concentrated in Healthcare, Hi-tech, Mobility, and Renewable Energy, while the Natural Resources sector led the charge on venture restructurings. The stock market reacted more favorably to restructurings than to new venture formations.
