A key driver to the success of the JV post-close is embarking on a programmatic approach that helps set up and operationalize the legal agreements in a manner that is consistent with the business case. However, post-close activities related to setting up and launching a JV are often neglected pre-close, which can lead to deviations from initial business cases, fire drills in establishing owner-provided services, and erosion of value.
