Geoff Walker

Geoff Walker is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura based in Washington, DC. He joined Ankura in 2020, following Ankura’s acquisition of Water Street Partners, which he co-founded in 2008. Water Street Partners has been independently ranked as the number one global advisor on joint ventures since 2017. Geoff has extensive experience structuring and restructuring joint ventures and advising clients on maximizing the value of their joint venture portfolios. Geoff serves a global client base primarily of companies in the natural resources sector, including oil and gas, metals and mining, chemicals, utilities, and alternative energy. He is a regular, featured speaker at industry and corporate events and has written extensively on joint ventures.

Lois Fernandes

Lois D’Costa Fernandes is a Senior Director at Ankura, where she leads the firm’s research and analytics on joint ventures and partnerships. Previously, Lois was a founding employee of Water Street Partners and prior to that was a core member of the Joint Venture Practice at McKinsey & Co. She has authored numerous articles on joint ventures and partnerships, including in MIT Sloan Management Review, Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, and the Journal of World Energy Law & Business.

Neetin Gulati

Neetin Gulati is a Senior Director at Ankura based in New York who specializes in advising clients on structuring and negotiating complex transactions, and, in particular, joint venture-related transactions. He has worked across a wide range of transaction types, including M&A, divestitures and spin-offs, minority equity investments, joint ventures, alliances and partnerships.

Shishir Bhargava

Shishir Bhargava is a Managing Director at Ankura based in Washington, DC. He advises clients on transactions and their post-deal governance in the energy, natural resources, and technology sectors. His transaction experience includes developing deal strategies, screening investments, structuring and restructuring joint ventures, and minority equity investments. He also helps companies build transaction capabilities and negotiate better outcomes. Prior to Ankura, Shishir worked at IBM where he led JV and partnership deals and at Hero MotoCorp of India, the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, which was established as a joint venture with Honda Motorcycles of Japan.

Lauren Sharp

Lauren is a Senior Director at Ankura based in London. She advises clients on their joint ventures, partnerships, strategic alliances, and minority stakes. Lauren has over ten years’ experience in building collaborative partnerships, advising on a range of successful partnership transactions and deals across the Consumer, Technology, Healthcare, and Industrials sectors. This includes the early deal phases of developing a partnering growth strategy and structuring a deal, executing the transaction, and conducting performance and governance reviews of existing partnerships to diagnose and resolve issues. Prior to joining Ankura, Lauren has worked in investment banking and consulting, with a focus on maximizing value for her clients.

Jonathan Schultz

Jonathan Schultz is a Managing Director at Ankura based in Chicago. He works with clients on joint ventures and partnerships and has 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, transformation, and innovation in the financial services and technology industries. Prior to joining Ankura, Jonathan served financial services clients as an Engagement Manager at a global management consulting firm. Prior to that, he was a Senior Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago during the 2008 financial crisis. Jonathan has also held executive roles at Discover Financial Services and co-founded a tech company focused on improving organizational culture at scale through on-demand, interactive team workshops.
